Due to the increasing number of health issues with our schoolmates from the '50's they will all be posted to this page. This will make it easier to keep up with allowing it to be more up to date. There will continue to be a separate page for our 1956 classmates. Although we moved fast, it appears time is catching up with us. It will be noted on the home page when there are updates. An address or email address will be posted when the information is available.

In an
email from her sister we have learned that Sandra (Hall) Howard LHS '59 suffered
a fall in December and has been in and out of the hospital ever since. She
is currently in Golden Living Center in Smithville for skilled nursing, and
cannot walk or stand. The family is hopeful she will be able to be moved to an
assisted living but it is possible it will be a long term care facility.
If you could care to send Sandra a card of encouragement, her birthday is Feb 16
and would enjoy hearing from schoolmates.

We have learned that Lynn Schmidt '57 suffered a light stroke a couple weeks ago. He can talk and walk, but needs some therapy. Keep Lynn in your thoughts and prayers. If you wish to send him a card of encouragement his home address is: 2806 S.E. 209th Street, Holt, MO 64048.

A note today from Donna (Corum)
Bishop '57 letting us know that Don '55 has been diagnosed with lung cancer.
"He had a heart attack in 2005 and they input a pace maker, bladder cancer in
2007 and throat cancer in 2009. Now it seems it has spread to his lungs. I am
hoping God wants something more from him. or that he has 9 lives like a cat. We
are trying to be optimistic and have a daughter, Debbie who is in the medical
field who has been there to advise and help us through it all".

We received word today the Lynn Schmidt '57 is in Liberty Hospital. As of this time we have no further information but will post it if it becomes available.

Sadly we have just learned that schoolmate Robert McMillian (LHS ’57) was recently diagnosed with Lou Gehrig’s disease. Keep Robert and his wife Sharon in your thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time. He would appreciate hearing from schoolmates with a card, call or email of encouragement.
