Sylvia Florence Bowles, 69, Liberty, MO, died Monday, December 6, 2004, at Liberty Hospital. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Friday, December 10, at Second Baptist Church, Liberty. Burial in New Hope Cemetery, Liberty. Visitation will be 10 a.m., until service time, Friday, at Second Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Cedars of Liberty.

Sylvia was born September 25, 1935, in Kansas City, MO, to Robert E. "Dad" and Florence Godfriaux Bowles. She was a 1957 graduate of William Jewell College.

For 27 years, Sylvia was a stenographer for Clay County Juvenile Justice Center, retiring in 2000. Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Chester S. Bowles and Robert E. Bowles, Jr. Survivors include two brothers, Renile E. Bowles, Janesville, WI, and Richard P. Bowles, M.D., and his wife Pauline Q. Bowles, Liberty, MO; and eleven nieces and nephews.
