2016 Reunion Plans

We’ve pretty much completed the planning for the upcoming reunion activities. Any changes to the following should be minimal.

We’re adding some special events this time around. At one of our events the cheerleaders will be leading us in a cheer – similar to what they did at our 50th. Martha, one of the key movers and shakers in the development of our Diamonds, Daggers and Dolls senior class play is developing a mini-script. Those in the play, plus some stand-ins will perform for our enjoyment during the Saturday afternoon event. Ed Fredricks (55) and his wife will be joining us. During our first all 50’s reunion he brought some movies of some 1954 fall football games – our junior year. Assuming he can find them, they’ll be on the agenda.

Thursday, 2 June – Conrad’s: We’re going with their 2nd Tier Plated Option – side salad w/ranch; entrees Chicken Piccata, Bacon Wrapped Pork Chops, Applewood Salmon; NY Cheesecake with seasonal coulis. There will be some sugar free cookies for those of us not into cheesecake or staying away from sugar. The cost per person will be $35. We will have access to their private room at 5:00 PM at which time bar service will be available. Our entrée orders will be taken shortly before 6:00, with salad served around 6:15. If you are not having dinner but will be in the area, stop by, have a beverage and visit. Martha will be giving us an over-view of the planned mini-play and pass out individual scripts.

Friday, 3 June – Fred and Ruth’s: The time is between 3:00 and 6:00. We’ll have water, tea, and lemonade along with light snacks, i.e., long sandwich, chips, dips and a watermelon boat. We’ll determine the cost of the purchases and have a suggested contribution amount. Sometime during the afternoon there will be a rehearsal of the mini-play

Saturday, 4 June – Glenaire Community Center: This will be our traditional BBQ picnic style meal. We’ll start at 2:00 PM with light snacks, water, tea, lemonade and maybe some Liberty School wine. A group picture will be taken sometime between 4:30 and 5:00 after the arrival of the food czar, aka de Judge. Following the picture the food will be served. Following the meal we’ll have the revival of Diamonds, Daggers and Dolls. Cost for this event is $20 per person – payable on-site.

Sunday, 5 June – Breakfast at a local restaurant, time and location to be determined.

For planning purposes we need to know who will be attending the three main events. If you have not already responded indicating which events you, and any guest, will be attending, please do so now.

If anyone needs directions to any of the events, let me know. Let me know if you have any questions, comments or concerns.

A list of participants by event will be on the website shortly, so check it out to see who’s coming.
