Ferd grew up in Liberty, and attended Liberty Schools up until high school, at which time the family moved to the family ranch in Belton, MO. Ferd has always been considered a member of our class and attends all of our functions.

I attended Kemper Military School 1956 - 1957 and the University of Missouri, Columbia, 1957 – 1960, I was a member of the Sigma Nu fraternity and graduated in 1960. After graduation, I was in the US Air Force and Air Force Reserves for six years. |
Married Sharon Wilson – Scottsdale, Arizona. Divorced.

I lived in Texarkana, Texas for 5 years and worked for Owen Bros.livestock as order buyer of cattle.
l Moved back to Belton, MO in 1968 to go into partnership in Owen–Good Ranch with mother, Lela Owen Good, grandmother, Mrs. Ferd Owen and brother Gilbert W. Good. This business is still in effect with Owen-Good Ranch LLC and Good Ranch Development of three housing developments.
I have always been in business with ranching and farming, raising cattle and very good quarter horses. I was on the Board of Directors of Producers of Texas Livestock Co. for 12 years at the Kansas City Stockyards, K.C. MO.
I still live at Owen-Good Ranch, Belton, MO
