Robert Martin "Bob" Crouse, 83, a lifelong Liberty
resident, passed away peacefully at home August 11, 2017, following a 20-year
battle with leukemia. He was born March 10, 1934, in Liberty, MO, the son of
Thomas Martin and Willie (Davis) Crouse. Bob graduated from Liberty High School
in 1952 where he played football and made many lifelong friends. He later
attended William Jewell College and played Cardinals football. Bob served in the
Missouri National Guard and U.S. Army, receiving honorable discharge in April,
1960. Bob worked in the insurance industry his entire career, retiring from
Alexander and Alexander. His passions included the Missouri Tigers, Kansas City
Chiefs where he was a 51-year season ticket holder, and the Kansas City Royals
where he worked for the organization at Kauffman Stadium until age 72. Friends
and family members are encouraged to wear Mizzou, Chiefs or Royals attire to
Bob's visitation and service. Bob loved anything outdoors, including fishing,
gardening, and helping neighbors by mowing lawns, shoveling driveways and in
many other ways. Bob leaves his wife of 50 years, Pauline (Tamburello) Crouse;
his beloved daughters, Maria Trout and Angela Heller (James); his grandchildren,
Robert, Alexander and Joseph Trout, Claire and MaryKatharine Heller; siblings,
William Crouse and Betty Clevenger; as well as other family members and many
friends. He was loved and will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held from
6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 15, and a service celebrating Bob's life will be held at
11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16, all at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, I-35 at State
Route 291, Liberty. Burial will follow in Glenridge Cemetery. Memorials are
