Frances (Bechtel) Johnston, 75, of Richmond, MO, died at 6:55 p.m. on Tuesday, August 3, 2010, at the Liberty Hospital, Liberty, MO. Frances was born on August 29, 1934 in Lafayette County, MO, to Clyde and Maxine (Myers) Bechtel. She married N. Glenn Johnston of Dockery, MO on November 25, 1953. He preceded her in death on December 15, 1997. Survivors include; one son, Terry G. Johnston of Wood Heights, MO, one daughter, Vicky Allen of Riverside, CA, four grandchildren, Jessica Allen, Andrea Anderson and her husband, Chris, Teddy Johnston and Sara Johnston. Two great-grandchildren also survive, Connal and Liberty Anderson. In addition to her husband and parents, Frances was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Kim Johnston. Frances had been the manager of the Casey’s Store in Excelsior Springs, MO for fifteen years. She was a cashier at the Shell Gas and Convenience Store in Richmond the last ten years. She was of the Christian faith. She had lived in Liberty and Excelsior Springs before moving to Richmond in 1984. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the donor’s choice.
