Geri Hamby, 76 Maysville, formerly of Jamesport, died Friday Nov. 14, 2008 at Sunset Home. Mrs. Hamby was born on Nov. 17, 1931 to Kathryn Noel and Edward Warn. In 1954 her and her husband Bob, began their farming life together in Plattsburg on the Tri-Honor farm a Holstein dairy. They moved to Winston and raised sheep. They then moved to Jamesport in 2001 and opened a Fiber Arts Shop. They recently moved to Maysville where she worked at Hamby Dairy Supply. Mrs. Hamby was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband of nearly 55 years Bob Hamby, five children Kathy Walther of Columbia, Christine Hamby of Cameron, Suzie Jones of Stewartsville, Dwight Hamby of Kansas City and Paul Hamby of Mayville, one sister Barbara Champlin of Jamesport. 11 grand children and ten great-grandchildren

A memorial service for Geri Hamby was held Monday, Nov. 17, 2008 at the Maysville United Methodist Church. Cremation was under the direction of Bram-Turner Funeral Home, Maysville. Memorial contributions may be made to your favorite charity, the planting of a tree, or the Ensign Memorial Scholarship Fund to assist rural students with their college expenses, in care of Nodaway Bank P.O.
