Thomas Charles Christian, 73, Kansas City, MO, died Sunday, February 8, 2004 at his home. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, February 12, at Church-Archer-Pasley Funeral Home, Liberty, MO. Burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery, Kansas City, MO. The family suggests donations to Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation, P.O. Box 3008, Princeton, NJ 08543-3008. Mr. Christian was born March 7, 1930 in Asher, OK, to George William and Callie Mae (Chaney) Christian. He was a graduate of UMKC Business School. Mr. Christian proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. On November 20, 1954 he married Shirlee Lightburne. He owned the ARKA-MO Sales and Service. Mr. Christian was a member of Community Christian Church. He was an Eagle Scout and a member of the Tribe of Mic-O-Say. Mr. Christian was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, George Edward Christian. Survivors include his wife, Shirlee Elizabeth Christian of the home; two sons, Joseph Matthew Christian, Greenwood, MO and Thomas George Christian, Grandview, MO; a daughter, Catherine Elizabeth Randle, Pleasant Hill, MO; and three grandsons, Stephen Christian, Jonathan Randle and Jacob Randle.
