Walter "Woody" Warder Jr., 58, of Liberty, MO, passed away August 15, 2002, at home. Visitation will be 7-8:30 p.m. Friday evening, August 16, at Liberty United Methodist Church, 1001 Sunset, Liberty. Memorial services will be 4 p.m. Saturday at the church. Private graveside burial will be in Glenridge Cemetery, Liberty. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Myositis Association, 755 Cantrell Ave., Suite C, Harrisonburg, VA 22801. Woody was a lifelong resident of Liberty and a longtime merchant in the area, serving his community with a family business, Woody's Appliance, founded by his father, Woody Sr. He was a member of Liberty United Methodist Church. Woody was preceded in death by his father, Woody, Sr. He is survived by his wife, Jean Warder, and son, Daniel Warder, of the home. He also leaves two daughters, Stacey Warder, Tampa, FL, and Jennifer Schmitt, Liberty; a grandson, Tyler Jarman; and stepdaughter, Jennifer McTeer, Belton.
